collection of information concerning agricultural biodiversity,
food security and the important plant pests and pesticide usage
in the West Bank, as well as in the neighbouring countries,

Representing
Palestine with a presentation in the international workshop on
“Risk Reduction of Agrochemicals in the Afro-Arab Region”,
launching a pilot project to establish an Information Network to
exchange information on plant protection solutions and
agrochemicals-risk management and regulation between the member
countries, organised by UNDP, and UNIDO and held in Port Luis,
Mauritius. 4 - 6.12.1996.

in the national team working on the project "Environmental
profile of Palestine", the project was co-ordinated by the
Applied Research Institute-Jerusalem and was carried out in the
period 1995 – 1998.

in the Rotational Advanced Studies Program (RASP), Plant
protection in international agricultural development. Course
included: international agricultural research and fund raising,
pesticide toxicology and registration, crop loss assessment,
microbial interactions, advanced methods of diagnosis. The course
